A Moth In The Wine

About this design:

More practicing. Heady pendant. I guess it's ok. It's asymmetrical and I admire all of you who do that, but somehow I never get it just as it should be. Nevertheless, I spent a lot of time on it, and I didn't have any square, half round, or 20 guage wire to give it more texture and less clunkiness. Just practicing with what I had. I'll let you all be the judge. I had a glass of wine while doing it and I guess it sat around too long because a moth drowned in it. I said to myself well, the government thinks I should eat bugs, so maybe I can drink moths. I didn't LOL. But I did remove the moth and finish the wine. People need wine for inspiration.

Components:

Various guages of craft wire. A topaz quartz faceted stone. Some Moonstone beads.

Wowza KR- You are the master of wiring, but remind me if we ever meet, not to have a glass of wine with you. HAHAHA! Thats too funny. I probably would have done the same thing. Your pendant is beautiful.

KR – I have no idea how you made this but it looks awesome. Love the moonstones also. Please mind your wine.

K, I think the heavier wire makes a great presence in the design. There’s a place for tiny pendants, then there’s a place for large, bolder pieces. I agree that a little wine can go a far way for inspiring, but I’ll take mine without the moth please! :)

Love the pendant! You seem to quickly master firework pendants. It must have to do with the wine! All that I have in the house is a single serving bottle of Don Patron XO Cafe Incendio that has been in my freezer since April 2016. I did open it after turning it upside down to swipe across the lid with a clean finger for a taste. I couldn’t tell. From the word Incendio which means fire I guess it must be spicy. The daughters of the couple who gifted it said it is better from the freezer. It may help of destroy creativity. I don’t know which.

I knew, from the title, whose this was! The pendant is gorgeous…I like what your practicing has created. I would have drunk the wine as well.

I really like the heavier gauge wire on this pendant. So pretty. The government wants us to eat insects? Who knew?

Thanks you guys. I’m glad you like my twisted sense of humor. It was only a tiny moth, as if that matters. The kind that gets into your dry goods,so I will check the pantry today, just in case. I’ve got a lot of wild bird seed around here so most likely it came from that. Raftark put up a video about how to add all this decoration to the frame and it was an ah ha moment. I’ve been looking at these kinds of pieces for years with no idea how it’s done. I like the pendant enough but I have a symmetrical mind and it makes me uncomfortable when things are not balanced, LOL. I’ll keep practicing. I have got to get back to jewelry work regularly and turn off the noise of the world.
