Mermaid
About this design:
I got this mermaid pendant half price at Hobby Lobby last summer. She matched these two strands of pretty blue czech glass. Plus some piggy beads that Asia sent me. I miss her and all her gorgeous jewelry. And I just randomly knotted this with no pattern.
Components:
Brass mermaid and starfish. Czech glass. Some clear greenish/blue beads. Piggy beads. Seed beads. I dont know what the little pale beads are in the piggy section. Waxed linen.Read the comments (or add your own)

Crystal Canary says:Nice work! The Czech beads with the white within them look like ocean wave caps–I think they were a most excellent choice. Love the cording & knots with the starfish beads tucked in. I think we all miss Asia, her kind presence, and wonderful work. Since I live no where around an ocean, I will have to enjoy a ‘vacation’ by looking at all these lovely beach inspired pieces.

Granny Nancy the mermaid is actually a pendant. She is supposed to hang from the ring in her hand. I just tied the cord to her tail.

Deb Harding says:Asia moved back to Poland I believe. Out of the blue, over a year ago maybe two, I got a package from her full of piggies, czech glass, some other beads, bunches of art beads. No explanation. Her shop has said “taking a break” for ever since. I know she had wanted to go home for awhile.
