Teaching Olivia

About this design:

Well, I have these two cheap pendants from China. This one I am trying to dress up a little. Anyway, the lady I sell to in Mexico, has wanted to learn how to make her own jewelry. She paid me, and I bought some supplies for her. I took pictures of each step in the making of this necklace. I have come to really appreciate Olivia...and I hope I can help her out.

Cheap pendant from China...NOT from LB, Czech glass from LB.

Did you patina the pendant? If so, with what?

This is gorgeous! It also looks fairly easy for a newbie!

Cheap or not, I really like the pendant here, especially with the beautiful beads you paired it with! The colors are amazing and the simple design works with the large focal piece! I think your customer should be able to make something similar with your instruction!!

Melody…I didn’t patina it. The colors really are vibrant in this pendant…from China or not. I have another one that is also from China that I am going to make.

Well, it may be a cheap pendant from China but it’s pretty cool. How large is it? I was watching Gina’s Gem Creations the other day. She was making a sun catcher and she used a really pretty silver ornate piece for the center. This pendant would also make a great center for the sun catcher. It’s very kind and unselfish of you to teach your customer your skills.

Jane, It’s so sweet of you to help Olivia with her desire to learn more about this most wonderful hobby of creating jewelry. She will definitely appreciate all your efforts, and I’m sure you will do a great job in teaching her. Love the beautiful blues in this necklace.
