Bronze & Petrol

About this design:

My inspirations usually happen when I’m picking up or reorganizing. I like the color combo of bronze & petrol blue.

Bronze from Saki, Rio Grande, Greek bronze, Swarovski pearls, & pieces from an old necklace.

These look so rich and exotic. Kind of ancient as well. It’s a gorgeous set.

I agree with KR. Your work has sort of an art-museum-elegance to it.

Elegance is the key word here. I love how she incorporated old pieces from a necklace for the new set. Its all very nicely done. Its the type I would have worn many years ago when we (my cop friends) and my husband went to the policeman’s ball every year. It was always a gala affair. Moogie you knocked this one out of the park.

This is gorgeous! I have been living bronze, white bronze lately. This bronze and petrol blue play so well together.

Haha! I totally get how we get inspired when it’s time to clean up! I do love this set and seems a bit Egyptian style. Very pretty set!

I really like the bronze and blue together. What a wonderful set. The earrings are my favorite of the pieces because I can just imagine how much they dance and draw attention when you wear them!

Gorgeous set Moogie… I agree that it’s Antiqued looking. Makes me think about bronze being an alternative metal, that I certainly don’t use…but bet I will be now.

Such a great combination of colors! The rich blue really stands out against the bronze. I’ve never seen the larger tubes in an antiqued finish. They were a super find. Love the Saki chandeliers–they’re gorgeous. What a stand out set. Its wonderful how inspiration hits at the oddest times–best thing to do is run with it. So glad you did!

Beautiful set Moogie. Yes, the color combination is great. Love the curved tubes on the necklace and the bead caps also.

Well, thanks everyone! Those tubes were from the old piece. I’m not sure but they may actually be copper. I prefer bronze on the red side. Otherwise it just looks brass to me. There is also something called red brass. Confusing! It’s getting harder to find smooth bronze pieces. Saki has some but they are always out of stock. Rio has stopped carrying any bronze beads. If anyone knows of a source of reddish bronze, let me know!
