Day of the Doves

About this design:

Tracy's party is Saturday and I don't feel that good about giving her the seahorse pendant. I like it, but I think she would rather have some kind of stone. I haven't been able to find her birthstone in a size and shape I want. I thought I'd try something else. I'm tired today anyway. All I've been doing is watching the birds. They were invading the Oasis today since I wasn't out there and I have spilled seeds on the ground. The doves don't come in, but they discovered the trellis today and are perching up there to look in. Guess it's a happy day for them.

Components:

Quartz crystal pendant. Faceted topaz oval glass bead. Frosted glass drop. 11/0 seed beads. 20 and 24 guage wire. Chain.

I forgot to mention. I actually have a few vegetables forming. Whoo Hoo. Goodness knows I’ve been doting on those plants. And I saw the biggest black bee I’ve ever seen in my life. Hopefully I’ll be better at this gardening stuff next year.

Very interesting necklace! Be careful of your black bee! It sounds like what comes around here. They bore holes into wood! I have a wooden broom handle they bored holes into the center. I use it as additional protection on my glass sliding door at night.

The small wire details make this pendant special! I’m sure your friend will love it.

Beautiful KR. I actually love the seahorse also. Mourning doves come to my feeder but mostly hang out in the maple tree watching. Good luck on your garden!

Thanks all. Pam, I Googled those bees. I’d never heard of Carpenter Bees. He sure was beautiful but I will keep a watch out for any problems. Fresh Baked, thanks. I hope she does, or she can have both. I’m not looking forward to the party Saturday though. K has pretty severe social anxiety but sometimes you just have to suck it up for your friends. Beady, I got the nyger seeds and a very cheap feeder yesterday. I get the sense that doves like to feed off the ground, but the little birds will hopefully find it soon.
