About this design:
I need new glasses. I recently made a goof in sending the wrong pair of earrings to a customer. In my defense, I will say...they were both very similar. ...the vintage tin ones. I discovered the mistake before she got the mistaken pair, and promptly sent her the correct pair. She was delighted she got to keep both pairs. Does anyone remember the cartoon about Mr. Mc Goo? He couldn't see worth a darn.

Crystal Canary says:Love the patinated effect on both of these. Did you apply it yourself? It’s great how the bead drops on the second pair match the connectors so perfectly–are they African Turquoise? I remember Mr Magoo–and yes, the eyesight is fading ever so slowly. We now have a pair of magnifiers in every room!

sweetjane says:Crystal, the bead drops on the second pair are some vintage beads I bought some time ago. No, I didn’t do the patina on either of them. The rectangles were a present from Holly…all I did was punch a hole in them and add a Unicorne bead.

dolllady aka Pam says:Both pairs of earrings are beautiful. I do remember Mr. Magoo. It was a favorite of mine. He was so funny. Now, my eyesight is failing. My eye doctor has served me well since 1991 except for 1 year. I just ordered 2 new pairs.

I’m just going with the frames and lenses covered by insurance. I’m too old for vanity. Thanks for reminding me to get on that.

Melody F says:I remember Mr. McGoo. I just got new glasses. Two pairs, but one pair is no good. I see double in one eye with them. Going to go back and complain. Hope they fix it. About your mishap–mistakes happen. When I was doing eBay occasionally I would goof about something, but people were generally understanding and I did well. How d you make the holes in the metal? Punch, or drill?

sweetjane says:Melody…yes, my customer was very understanding. These two were not the pairs I goofed. The pairs I goofed were my two vintage pairs…which looked very much alike. To answer your question…I used my helicopter type hole puncher. It’s my favorite for punching holes.
