I Watch Band take 2

About this design:

I am still looking at these online. I looked at a couple you tube videos. I’m still thinking I can make one- so…. I think this one is better, but not totally the way I want it. I’m not paying attention to detail like I use to. I’m looking again… maybe I have too many beads?

Components:

I used 1.5 metallic round leather with a pretty good matching 0.5 wax cord for putting it together. In order are 2 tiny picture jasper tubes, then 2 bronsite cubes, square tube cherry jasper, 6 ml cherry jasper round with Czech fire glass beads, picture jasper tube, 2 6/0 beads, Czech glass tube, 6/0. Copper daisy spacer beads. 4 copper plated pewter barrel spacers. A little macrame which one side has more than the other. Macrame slide.

It’s nice to see you post, if only on occasion. I think it looks pretty good…I especially like the closure. I don’t think you have too many beads. I wouldn’t know how to begin making a watch band. I hope one day you will get back to making jewelry like you used to. We all miss you!!

Wow Robin. So pretty and unique. I love the combination of beads. And the macrame is cool.

Robin, this turned out great. I like the choice of metallic leather–and I don’t think there are too many beads. YouTube is a wonderful resource with so many videos on just about any beading project you can think of. Creating your own watch band creates a one-of-a-kind piece–very cool.

What is “too many beads”? Nope, looks great! Texture mix is fantastic.

It’s great Robin. Looks like it would be difficult to attach to the watch.

Kay, there is a connector there on either side of the Watch- I put Larks knot on the connector to start each side.

Definitely a unique and one of a kind design. I love the texture and color of the watch band. Too many beads? Never!
