Days of Wine and Roses
by Beady Little Eyes on 03/15/23
About this design:
The song kept going through my head and then the movie. A sad story about love and alcoholism.
(I think whomever put the labels on the bottles must have been drunk - One was upside down and one was crooked -The crooked one is on the center dangle.
Components:
11/0 Seed Beads - Brown, Green African Opal, Pink and Red - , 33 - 35 mm Resin Wine Bottles, 19 mm Teardrop Flower Ring and 20 mm ToggleRead the comments (or add your own)

dolllady aka Pam says:I can’t imagine sitting day in and out gluing labels on these tiny wind bottles. It would make me drink (iced coffee my drink choice). The crooked and upside down labels just add to the story of this beautiful necklace! Maybe it should be titled In Rehab.

Melody F says:Maybe it was a person who didn’t recognize the English alphabet at all and was going by the pictures as to which way was up. I would have problems with Chinese! This is an adorable necklace, perfect for a wine tasting festival. You come up with wonderful pieces.

sweetjane says:Yes indeed…another creative and unique design!! I don’t remember the song, but I do remember the movie.

MH says:Cool idea! I think that song will be in my head for a day or two now!

K Ralston says:How cool is this? I’m wondering how the bottles stay in place. I love that sad and beautiful song. If there was ever a time in history to have a little wine, these may be the days. You’ve got some lovely colors and flowers in this necklace too.

Beady Little Eyes says:Thanks all. Pam – so funny “In Rehab”.
KR – I made some little eyepins and used a tiny spring drill to make holes. Then a little epoxy glue to hold the eyepins in place.
The attached photo shows how the flowers fade from pink and red to gray and black. Forgot to attach it before.

Beady Little Eyes says:Melody – A wine tasting party would be perfect!

Little Round Chick says:Wine tasting party? Count me in. I’ll bring some Strawberry Fields and the Mogen David.
Where in the world did you find those little wine bottles? They are priceless and the necklace is such a fun design. As for the movie and song they were/are so sad.

Crystal Canary says:Wow, this is excellent Beady. What imagination you have that is wonderfully executed in the outworking of the design. I love how the seeds change color, and how, when clumped together, their impact is clearly seen. A wine tasting party sounds like a lot of fun!
