African Kazuri and Brass Bead Necklace

About this design:

This is made with African ceramic Kazuri beads. KAZURI began in 1975 as a tiny workshop experimenting on making handmade beads. KAZURI started with two Kenyan women and soon discovered that there were many other women in the villages around Nairobi, most of whom were single mothers, who were in great need of regular employment.

Components:

Handmade ceramic African Kazuri beads, African brass horse eye palm leaf beads, brass rondelle beads, and slide cut cylinder wood beads.

I’m with the other gals..definitely a bold necklace with a touch of whimsy from the cut log beads. The little unexpected can surely add big impact. Love the Kuzuris & how you balanced them in the design with the larger African brass. Very nice Althea.
