Wow, indeed. What an eye-catching stunner! I really enjoy and admire your work and ability to blend very disparate elements into cohesive jewelry. This one really leaps off the screen. Your patina not only worked nicely, but also turned the leaf into the perfect focal for the color scheme of the rest of the beads and charms. Plus – I love those magatamas.

PS: you see that brilliant orange silk (and cotton too) all over the place in India. Not so much in saris, but often in elaborate turbans and wrapped around saddhus (itinerant holy men)and also wrapped around various gods and goddesses. Grand temples and humble forest shrines are festooned with that orange. Time and wear fade it to a paler shade, but bright new orange is aways around.

Apparently I didn’t post my comment when I thought I did. I love the beaded portion of this necklace with the subtle twist.
