Beach Bangles

About this design:

I made the blue-green one on the left in a class at Nomadic Notions in Austin. These are ADDICTING, and I can't seem to stop whipping them out. I think they look best worn in groups of 3.

size 8 delicas, glass pearls, and fire-polish.

    Thank you, all!

Susan, it’s peyote stitch and VERY easy. When you get to a certain point, you just fold up the sides, like a taco, and sew them together. At that point, they’re already curving towards each other. They’re loads of fun.

Super bangles Debra! I don’t think we seed beaders get the respect that we should! LOL A lot of work goes into these little pieces! You’re right about seed beading being addicting!

    Thank you, Tara and Lindys!

Lindys, I love both seed beading and wire work. Doing both keeps me from being bored with either one. Seed beading definitely keeps the brain cells sharp; you have to think about so many things. I’m working on a right-angle weave bracelet right now with the help of some ladies at the lbs; it’s a tricky one. I do love seed beading.

Debra, your last comment is just the reason I have not jumped into this side of beading. I think it deserves a lot of respect. I sew and can taylor and do counted cross stitch so I have a good general idea what goes into this. “A lot of work and your heart also.” Keep up the good work love the bracelets.
