About this design:

I saw a necklace similar in stitch in one of my magazines. There were no directions, so I had to "figure" it out. I wanted to make the seed beads go around the beads in the front so it could be the focal.

11 seed beads, vintage beads from one of my grandma's necklaces

Thank you all!! You wouldn’t believe the amount of jewelry my grandma had!!! I think (know) that’s where I got my interest in jewelry and making it!!!! LOL My mom, sister, and I kept a lot of it. Yes, there was enough for us to all have a generous amount….. And I took many, many necklaces apart. The amount of beads is amazing!!! I still have 1/2 a box to take apart!! I will have to post some pics! You chickies would get a kick out of it!!

Oh, Jill, what lovely pieces you have to treasure from your grandmother! I kept quite a few pieces of Mom’s jewelry when we went through her things a few months ago. Some I am going to leave “as is” and others I plan to remake into other designs. :)

These are pics of the “stash” I still need to go through. The above pic took we 2 whole days to cut apart!! I’m not sure how long these two boxes will take me!!! LOL I would like to put some of Grandma’s beads in each of my designs…..not sure if it is completely possible.
