Mummy's garden

About this design:

This one was a bit of a pain in the tush to make, but I do enjoy wearing it. My mum is a wonderful gardener (sadly, however, I seem to have a Black Thumb). She lives in Vermont and her summer garden is huge and lushly beautiful (if you want to see it, she has a blog here: )

pressed glass beads, leaves, and seed beads (for centers) sewn on to a base of beading wire strung with size 8 seed beads. Technique is borrowed from "Road to Rio" bracelet on Fusion Beads website, but I changed to colors to have a summer garden feel.

Helen, this is glorious! I love all the shades of blue that you incorporated into this work of art.
I bet you get lots of compliments. It does look like it was a lot of work but it sure was worth it.
    I’m also a black thumb gardener…oh well.

thanks Debbi! I’m thinking about doing another one with fall colors, using mostly gold and warm topaz leaves and a few red and dark purple flowers for the Dahlias which are still blooming in September

This is lovely; however, being a Leo, I tend to think your “fall” bracelet would be my favorite. Even though it is a pain to make, I’d love to give it a try.
