Planetary Convergence

About this design:

The triple pendant set was a difficult match because of the stones, so I went simple with the green, gray, silver and smoky black diamond shades. The whole set reminds me of planets converging in the night sky, like those educational programs explaining the universe.

I think you did an awesome job in your choice of beads to pull the colors out of the pendant set. And I love the mix of bead types too. Gorgeous!

Thanks Leigh! I’m pleased with how it came out, I was worried I wouldn’t find the right combination to do it justice. :)

The iridescence of the foil beads mixed in with the pearls really adds something to this piece – it brings out the colors without overshadowing the pendant set. Just my humble opinion. :0)

Christine, I agree with all the others on what a fabulous job you did of selecting complementary stones to pull the colors out of your focal beads without detracting from them! The shimmer of your foil beads lends a magical feel to this set. Great earrings, too! :D

I offered my sister-in-law a choice from all of the pieces I’ve made lately for her “back to school” necklace (she’s a high school teacher), and she choose this one. I wouldn’t have thought it’d be her first choice, but I’m very pleased she choose it.

When Worlds collide! Hee hee. Seriously – I like this. A louder choice of stones would have competed with the cool shapes. I also like the choice of matching the errings to some of the smaller background beads. Great way to match a set without going over the top matchy watchy!
