What a cool idea! As usual, your paper beads are beautiful, and the crystal bicones you’ve picked continue the golden hues of the beadcaps and brighten the piece w/sparkle. I’m a sucker for old architecture, so I’d even like a necklace of rowhouse beads,w/o the bridge… I see lots of possibilities in this genre!

I love this necklace! The beads are beautiful, and I love the way you put it all together. San Francisco is one of my favorite places. I think you should do another set of beads with the Painted Ladies inn Filmore Street! I think these beads have a lot of possibilities as a commercial venture. I’d love to buy beads like this as a souvenir of my trips, rather than t-shirts I never seem to wear. Great idea!

Thanks, everyone! Katrina, I would love to see a necklace with the photos of your trip. The beads are very easy to make, but very time consuming. What I did with the pictures of San Francisco was print them on plain white paper. After you seal them and varnish them, nobody can tell that they were printed on everyday Xerox paper! You can also take pictures from brochures and use them. The ideas are endless, and fun!

It’s a beautiful recycling of photos that might ordinarily be discarded. Creative materials are “where you find them”, if you recognize them, and you certainly have.
