Confetti and Sea Collection

About this design:

Well I will tell you that the cost of silver is getting outrageous, so you know I love silver, I found a cool way to cut back and still have my silver, I bought porcelain blanks ( nothing on them) I used my PMC silver and pasted these, and then decorated them with small bits of silver to create my collection. The 2 puffed square ones are antiqued, I haven't done the rest yet. There is 4 lentil beads, 2 small beads, 3 pendants, 2 spacers. I would like to know what you think, this is kinda of experiment. I hand polished each one.

Beautiful. I think it is a great idea. The pendants, etc. will probably be a little lighter and the effect will be the same. Are they covered with silver on the back too? We all want the look of quality without going bankrupt to get it.

This is a great idea … I love all the different shapes and antiqued or not, they are so neat. Great idea to combat the rising cost of silver. Let us know how your show goes … best wishes! SLS

These are fabulous Lynn! So are you “painting the Blanks” with silver slip and then firing/torching to bring out the color? ARe the decorations example the shell a blank too or PMC. I am trying to understand the method you used to create these beauties! I use to paint ceramics and porcelain many moons ago and we would paint the rims on a plate and then fire it in a kiln and the gold would be bright and shiney.

Well, this is just an intuitive guess on my part, but I bet you won’t have any trouble at selling these, and that you’ll be making lots more of them! These are gorgeous and totally ingenious! :D

Dawn after I paint the slip on the blanks (many coats) I use syringe and clay pieces to decorate, then fire.. These blanks are plain nothing in on them..
