About this design:

I found these wonderful glass beads while rummaging through a bowl of loose beads. The squares and circles are a wonderful shade of Tiffany blue, and faceted teardrops in a shade of Coke-bottle blue. I maded pounded copper wavy-wire headpins from 18G wire for the circles and teardrops and then I put the squares on 22G wire, adding a tiny Chinese Crystal rondell at the top and bottom, and made wrapped loops at each end. The colors, shapes and wavy lines remind me of the lines of arte moderne buildings - walls that meet in a curve rather than a 90* corner, windows of glass blocks - often in geometric shapes, and rows of small window at the ceiling line called clerestory windows.

Katherine, Woohoo! I’m the first to comment. I think these earrings are terrific. I especially love the color of the stones you used in them. I think that turquoise colored stones and copper go so well together. You did a terrific job. Thanks for sharing.
