Natural yellow agate is a plume agate, an agate variety containing fluffy, “plume”-like inclusions. Inclusions occur where iron oxide, manganese oxide, or other oxides are present when the agate is forming. Sometimes, plume agate inclusions resemble feathers, plants, or flowers.
