Apatite Gemstone Beads

Apatite is named from the Greek word “apate”, meaning "deceit", since it has a similar appearance to many other minerals that are used as gemstones. Apatite can be found in Burma, Brazil, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Mexico, Norway, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the United States.

Our apatite beads are a vivid, translucent, green-blue color. They remind us of the color of a beautiful tropical ocean! Pina coladas, anyone?

Apatite is actually a group of three phosphate minerals: fluorapatite, chlorapatite, and hydroxylapatite.
