Lemon Chrysoprase Beads

These lemon chrysoprase beads are a bright, cheery lemon color with a hint of green and the occasional brown matrix.

Chrysoprase is the most valued stone in the chalcedony group and is mainly found in Australia. While the trade name for this brightly colored gemstone is Lemon Chrysoprase, this stone is actually the lemon yellow variety of a mineral called magnesite (magnesium carbonate). Magnesite is often found in close proximity to true chrysoprase, which may have prompted the name "lemon chrysoprase".
