Moss Agate Beads
Our moss agate beads are clear to milky-translucent chalcedony embedded with fluffy, delicate inclusions of deep forest green chlorite.
Unlike other types of agate, moss agate does not consist of chalcedony organized in regular layers or bands. Instead, it is a form of agate in which minerals of a green color, such as chlorite, are embedded in a matrix of chalcedony, forming filaments and other patterns suggestive of moss. Almost all moss agate is mined in Canada and the United States.
