Next to quartz, calcite is the most abundant mineral on Earth! This wide-ranging, natural rock is found throughout the Earth's crust. It's consistent and durable and lucky for us, accepts coloring agents very well. In its natural form, calcite isn't very interesting, but when you add color, wonderful patterns appear! These crazy lace calcite stands are all enhanced with dyeing agents. We have found them to be extremely stable and colorfast.
