Kunzite Beads
Kunzite was named in honor of the mineralogist and gemologist George Frederick Kunz. The delicate pastel colors of our kunzite beads remind us of springtime. This gemstone would look wonderful with the soft luster of our freshwater pearls.
Kunzite is a variety of the pyroxene mineral spodumene and comes either colorless or in gorgeous pastel yellow, green, pink, or light purple colors. It has a lovely splintery, striated structure. The color of this stone arises from trace amounts of manganese. Kunzite has been found in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Australia, and the United States.
Metaphysically, Kunzite is associated with the heart chakra. It is said to act as a bridge between the head and the heart.
