About this item

Utah artist Amy Mealey's stellar Raku pieces are creatively textured and highlighted with shimmering hues. Amy uses a quick firing technique, raku, developed in Japan some 500 years ago. The handmade clay pieces are placed directly into a hot kiln and removed as soon as the glaze is melted. The results are stunning, colorful pieces, each one unique.
