About this design:
I chose to make a bracelet from the Spring Rain necklace/bracelet kit. It started off as a heavy-looking piece, but the longer I worked with it, the more I realized that I would rather have a delicate piece. So I started over (3 times) :)
I ended up with this bracelet that incorporates wire and leather with items from the kit.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- Vintaj Spring Rain Necklace/Bracelet Kit
- 2' leather cord
- 2 Vintaj creative hoops
- approx. 8' hemp cord
- approx. 9' 24 gauge wire
Step-by-Step Instructions:
|
Step 1: Take your 24 gauge wire and begin wrapping beads onto the cuff. Only string one bead on at a time. I wrapped the wire back under each bead after I wrapped the bead to the hoop. |
|
Step 2: Take your hemp and wire together and wrap onto the hoop. |
|
Step 3: To attach charms to the hoop once it has been wrapped, make the loops on your wire wrapped charms large enough. I went way back on my round nose pliers, but you could also use your bail making pliers. |
|
Step 4: To finish off the ends of your creative hoops, make the ends of the loop over using the bail making pliers. |
|
Step 5: Finally, I took my 2 bracelets and made sure that the shapes were the same before connecting them. |

Ali says:Thanks everyone! I am actually working on a necklace made from the chunkier remnants of this bracelet. It won’t be Spring Rain, but I think it’ll still be pretty cool … one of those necklaces that I would wear everyday of summer.

DB says:I love the look but don’t like winding wire so will probably not do this but I absolutely LOVE the kits. They make it so handy, and also give us an upfront idea of how much a project will cost.
