I was really excited to design something with these new walnut wood resin stick focals- I love the colors & how light-weight they are! For this design, I used African brass & bead chain to create this long-length, (budget friendly!) beach inspired necklace.

Walnut Wood Resin Stick Focals (2)
African Brass Saucer (1)
African Brass Round (1)
Gold 10mm Jump Rings
Gold 3mm Jump Rings
Hemp Twine
Brass Chain (18")
Brass Bead Chain (two 3.5" pieces)
Super Glue (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Slide a jump ring onto each wood resin stick. Tie a double knot around the two jump rings with a 10" piece of hemp.

Step 2

Slide 5 jump rings onto the hemp (this is just for decoration). Next, slide on the African Brass saucer, 5 jump rings, and then the brass bead. Tie a few knots at the top, and then knot the hemp around a jump ring. You can secure this knot with a drop of glue if you'd like.

Step 3

Attach two 3.5" of bead chain to the jump ring with the 3mm jump rings.

Step 4

Lastly, attach an 18" piece of brass chain to the bead chain using the 3mm jump rings. I made the length to fit over my head with no clasp, but if you'd like, you can attach a lobster clasp & jump ring to the ends.
