Love in the Time of Pearls
About this design:
I love the size and muted earth tones available in the shell pearls. As soon as I saw them I envisioned a soft gold chain mixed with the shibuichi clasp. I added in some larger 14mm chocolate pearls and smaller 8mm berry and slate pearls to be able to create a subtle graduation of size and color. Everything about this design feels soft and silky to me.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: String and crimp each strand individually. Fold your wire over and string on your ends. Push both wire ends through cone and wire wrap to create a large eye at the top to attach your chain/clasp to. |

Step 2: I doubled up the chain around the back of the necklace to balance the appearance of weight in the necklace. |
|
Step 3: I tangled the chain around the shorter strand of shell pearls before securing it at each end, this makes the tangling permanent. |
