These Czech glass mermaids are great for creating a simple & unique pair of earrings, but I wanted to add another element to make them stand out a bit. I love how they look layered in front of the crystal chain- it makes them all the more eye-catching!
Make a bead link with a small piece of gold wire. There should be a purple 6/0 seed bead on each end, three 6/0 seed beads in the center, with alternating colors of the bead chain in between each seed bead and on the ends. Curve the link into a u-shape.
Make a bead charm with the mermaid bead and a headpin. Slide the charm onto a 7" piece of wire.
Slide the wire through each end of the bead link from step 1, so the mermaid is hanging in the center.
Slide a large hole rondelle onto both pieces of wire.
Twist both pieces of wire together and make a loop at the top of the rondelle with round nose pliers. Slide onto the earwire.
