Alashan Mongolian Agate Hoops

These modern hoops were made using Alashan Mongolian Agate which is found deep in the earth of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. This agate has a beautiful color palette of soft pinks and neutrals with pops of forest greens.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Alashan Mongolian Agate 4mm faceted rounds
  • Silver-lined crystal Miyuki Delica 11/0 seed beads
  • Silver hoops
  • Head pins

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Slide the beads onto the head pins as shown. Slide a delica on then the amout of Alashan agate beads shown. From center to outer 5 agate beads, 3 agate beads, and 2 agate beads.

You could organize your colors to go from dark to light.

Step 2

Create a wire-wrapped loop at the top of each head pin. Use the jump rings to attach the head pins to the loops on the earring hoop.
