I love brandy opal, and have actually been carrying a bag of red leather and brandy opal 6mm round beads around with me for about 2 months. I wanted to make a wrap bracelet, but needed to teach myself how first. Then I vision of what my day might look like if I laid on may back under a maple tree in my yard from sun up through sun down. That is where the graduation of color came into place.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 1 strand of 6mm round beads
  • 4 4mm round beads
  • 45” 2mm leather cord
  • 16’ of thread
  • 1 button

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Most important part this bracelet was getting the color graduation correct. Sort all of your brandy opal round beads into 3 groups – light/white, medium/orange/red, and dark black/brown.

Step 2

Once you have the beads laid out from light to dark, you can begin your ladder stitch.
