This friendship bracelet is made by simply knotting the strands together, and sliding on any bead of your choice.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Two 50" pieces of Hemp or C-Lon cord- all the same color

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Fold the strings in half to end up with four 25" long strands.
Tie a knot about an inch from the top to for a loop.

Step 2

Clip the loop to a clipboard or notebook.

Step 3

Separate the strings so you have two strands on each side. Cross the strands on the left side over & under the right side & pull tight, Repeat so you have a double knot.

Step 4

Now, do the same thing, but cross the right side over the left side. Repeat making double knots, going left to right, then right to left.

Step 5

Every few knots, slide on a bead to one of the center strands. Keep going until the bracelet is as long as you'd like.

Step 6

Tie a knot at the end and leave a 1-1.5" tail. At this point you can either tie the bracelet around your wrist by knotting the ends around the loop on the other end of the bracelet, or you can tie a button to the end, and slide it through the hoop.
