I remember one Spring Break when Kevin and I were in college we went to AMI to visit my Aunt and Uncle. As we walked along the beach headed for the Bean Point we came across this magnificent driftwood root mass on its side completely adorned with seashells it had collected on its journey. I love the versatility of large hole pearls. I chose to string and knot on my favorite Natural Gray Leather Cord. It reminds me of the color of driftwood along the beach on AMI. The light sand porcelain and the aquamarine Czech glass are perfect paired with the pearls to complete this beach inspired Gulf bracelet. I plan to stack this bracelet with my Sweet Beachy Bracelet I made a couple years ago and perhaps a silver or bronze bangle.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 6 large hole pearls
  • 6 large hole Czech glass aquamarine w/ gold wash 8mm melons
  • 5 light sand porcelain large hole rounds 7x8mm
  • 2' natural gray 2mm leather cord
  • 1' natural gray 2mm leather cord
  • adhesive

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Layout your 15 beads prior to stringing. Start out by making an overhand knot 3.5" from the end of the cord. Then string on a bead and knot. Repeat this until you have strung all of your beads. Take your tail ends and cross them past each other. Take the 1' length of leather and make your sliding square knot closure. Once you have completed this closure, string on a Czech glass aquamarine bead and knot 2" from the closure. Repeat on the other tail.

Step 2

The completed length of your bracelet before the adjustable knot clasp is 7-7.25". The adjustable knot is approximately .75". The each of the tails of the bracelet hang out of the adjustable knot 2".
