This pendant set is fantastic! I immediately knew I wanted to use them in a necklace with more brown tones to make the bright colorfulness of the Mardi Gras Jasper more earthy :) Typically I don't find myself drawn to something so colorful, but this stone makes me happy like summer is coming and it's going to be a great one!

Supplies you’ll need:

  • pendant set
  • 4"-5" of 4mm rondelle in matching stone to pendant
  • 1" of 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads
  • 1"-2" of small pyrite beads
  • 28" of Vintaj chain for necklace
  • 3" of Vintaj chain for ladder
  • 10" 18ga craft wire for stringing pendant set

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Create the necklace chain using bits and pieces of chains into a 28" length. For the middle 5"-6" I recommend using something simpler that is smooth since this is at the back of your neck.

Step 2

Using the 10" of 18g wire, create a wire-wrapped loop at one end, string on the pendants, and wire wrap the other end to finish off. You will need to bend your wire so the pendant lays nicely.

See Tip: Wire Wrap a Bead Link

Step 3

String 3 separate lengths of beads all 2.5" long onto Irish waxed linen. These will be used as the ladder rungs.

Step 4

Decide where you want your ladder rungs. I recommend every other chain link. Tie the ends of the waxed linen onto the chosen chain links.

Step 5

This is a photo of the completed rungs. I included a length of chain in with the beaded ones. Once you attach the last one, you are done!
