This is a great project for someone who wants to make a quick yet beautiful design. The soft texture of the hemp is the perfect backdrop for faceted and pearl beads. This bracelet has a beachy-chic feel, make some of these as bridal party gifts for a destination wedding.

Supplies you’ll need:

You will need a spool of 10lb natural hemp (I used approx. 50" of hemp), 6 large hole faceted or smooth green aventurine 8mm beads, 6mm slate shell pearl round beads, 1 cowrie shell, and 1 tiny thread tassel.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Measure out 50" of hemp cord, and cut. Fold the hemp in half the at the top loop tie your first knot. Keep in mind this loop will need to fit your button or clasp.

Step 2

Next, slide your fist bead on, the make a loop around your finger and pull the bead through to create a knot. These loops are supposed to be loose creating a net look, you can pull them tighter if preferred. Keep repeating this step until you et to your desired length.

Step 3

Create a knot on the end.

Step 4

Attach your cowrie shell by using one tail through and knotting it on. I used the jump ring on the tassel to attach it, you could add another jump ring for more dangle.
