Lava & Picture Jasper Starred Bracelet
About this design:
I love the layered patterning in picture jasper and its implicit connection to the Earth. By combining it with the unwaxed lava I can add essential oils. I finished the bracelet with a knotted loop and a Green Girls Studios small star button.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- 16 lava rock 6mm rounds
- 5 picture jasper 6mm rounds
- 2' of knotting cord
- button

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Start knotting 6" from the end of the cord. Create 3 overhand knots close together. String on 8 of your lava beads, knotting in between each bead. If you need your bracelet to be larger or smaller, you can add in or take away a lava bead. Now string on the 5 picture jasper and knot at the end. String on the remaining lava rounds, matching the count of the original lava beads and knotting in between each bead. |

Step 2: To create the loop of the button closer, I made overhand knots for approximately 1" along the cord. Then I made a loop and knotted back to the lava bead 3x and melted the cord and knot down very carefully using the thread burner. At the other end of the bracelet, knot on the button. Use the thread burner to secure the knot. |
