Honey Bee Earrings
by AndreaP at Lima on 03/30/23
About this design:
I've always had an admiration for bees. These little pollinators play a very important role taking care of our plants and crops. I'm always excited to see them in my garden. These earrings are as sweet as honey.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
You will need Czech glass bee coins, 2 honeycomb links, 26 gauge wire, head pins, eye pins, 3mm jump rings, 2mm Czech glass fire polished rounds, and your favorite ear wire.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Slide the bee coin onto the eye pin and create a loop at the top with your round nose pliers. Follow the tip below, if needed for creating the perfect loop. |
Step 2: Cut a 2" piece of wire and slide one end through a honeycomb hole. Bend the wire in an L-shape on the back of the honeycomb so you can wrap the wire over it. Wrap the wire around twice and then slide a 2mm bead on. Wrap the wire around twice on the other side and trim your wire. Do the same technique to any honeycomb holes you want to fill. You can use a little dot of super glue to secure the wire on the back. |
Step 3: Slide one 2mm bead onto a head pin to create the little honey droplet to hang from the bottom. Attach to the honeycomb with a jump ring. See Tip: Wire Wrap a Charm |
Step 4: Attach the bee link to the honeycomb with a jump ring, then to the ear wire. |

Little Round Chick says:I agree with Pam… these ear rings are as sweet as honey. The honeycomb is an unusual component and since it comes in 3 colors it offers endless possibilities for designs. The gold coin is a great addition.
