8/0 Miyuki delicas offer even more great options for bead weaving thanks to a generous hole size. This simple bracelet design works up fast and offers endless pattern possibilities. Try mine or come up with your own! The stitch is super easy to follow and very forgiving. Remember making beaded pets using pony beads in the 90's? This is that same stitch. Super easy!
Cut about a meter of your cord. Add a needle to either end. We'll be using both. Using the needle in your right hand, pass through the left side of your Cymbal end (from the outside in). Now pick up one A, two B and one A 8/0 delica. Pass your right hand needle through the right side of the Cymbal end (from the inside out).
We're reading to begin weaving. Pick up one A, two B and one A 8/0 delica (It doesn't matter if you pick up the beads on your right or left needle)
Take your free needle and pass it through the row of 4 beads from the opposite direction. (If you picked up the beads in step 2 using your right needle, you will pass your left needle through the row of beads from the left, and vice versa)
Gently pull both working ends of cord to nestle your newly formed row of beads.
Continue steps 2-4 until your bracelet reaches your desired length (just long enough to wrap around the edges of your wrist, not all the way around. Save room for the second Cymbal cord end and a sliding square knot). Here's an in progress photo.
Add the finishing Cymbal cord end. Pass your left needle through the left side of your Cymbal end (from the outside in). Pick up one A, two B and one A 8/0 delica.
Pass your right needle through the right side of your Cymbal end (from the outside in)
Pass your right working strand through the row of beads (from right to left) and out the left side of the Cymbal end
At this point you can weave the ends back into the design or if you'd like to add the charm, take your right working strand and weave it from right to left through the second to last row of beads.
Tie on your charm. You can leave the ends if you like, or cut them down. I cut them down in the finished design.
Cut two eight inch pieces of your cord. String one piece through the loop on either Cymbal end.
Cut a six inch piece of your cord and complete a sliding square knot. Voila!
