I love this barrel knot style. It is a clean knot that doesn't look sloppy creating the perfect spacer in between each bead. This could also be worn as a short necklace.

Supplies you’ll need:

Repeat recycled cord 1mm
23-25 Skateboard beads in total (I used the two sizes listed in the product list)
Gaea heart button

You will need scissors and a lighter.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut a 1.5" piece of a drinking straw. Cut 4' of cord. Slide a skateboard bead onto the center of the cord.

Step 2

To start your first barrel knot lay the straw on top of the cord next to the bead. 2. Hold the bead and cord between your fingers. 3. Take the tail of the cord the straw is laying on and wrap it around the straw. 4. Wrap the cord from right to left six times. 5. Feed the tail through the straw 6. Pull the cord through the straw. 7. Push the straw down towards the bead while you pull the tail through the straw. 8. Pull the cord so the barrel knot is tight. Adjust the barrel so it is laying nice if needed.

Step 3

Continue by sliding another bead on and doing the same processs to create the barrel knot in Step 2.

Step 4

Create a loop on one end large enough to fit over the button. Then tie the other cord ends onto the button. Use a light to slightly burn your knots to seal them.
