Citrine Beads

Citrine, citrus, sunshine. It can't be Summer all of the time, but buying Citrine beads and focals might help your winter blues - or help reflect your sunny disposition year-round! While Citrine jewelry has never gone out of style, it was especially popular in Hellenistic Age Greece, Victorian England, and the Art Deco age of the 1920’s and 1930’s.

Citrine belongs to the quartz family. Citrine shares its Latin roots with the word citron - derived from the Latin word for yellow, citrina. The yellow color is caused by iron compounds. It is closely related to amethyst. Citrine is found on every continent, but is most often mined in Brazil.

Metaphysically, Citrine is said to encourage prosperity and success. Citrine is the traditional birthstone for November.
