Floating Flower Earrings
by Ali on 07/07/11
About this design:
These cute little lucite flowers were just begging to be used in earrings. The TOHO Magatama seed beads worked out great for the center of the flowers as well as seed charms because of the organic shape and small size. The earrings are so lightweight too - you can get the long dangle look without pulling on your ears too much.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- 4 Matte Topaz Lucite Daisy 3x10mm
- 2 Matte Emerald Lucite Daisy 3x10mm
- 2 Matte Montana Blue Lucite Daisy 3x10mm
- 2 Matte Aqua Lucite Daisy 3x10mm
- 2 Antique Brass (plate) Plain w/ Ring Leverback
- 8 2" lengths of Artistic Wire Olive 22 gauge 8 Antique Brass (plated) Head Pin 2", 21g
Step-by-Step Instructions:
![]() |
Step 1: Your are essentially creating a series of wire wrapped links. I first create the top loop, then strung on the flower; then strung on the seed bead; continuing down until 4 have been linked together. See Tip: Make a Wire Wrapped Bead Link |

Step 2: I added three charms on the bottom: one charm at the bottom of the first link, one charm at the bottom of the third link and one on the opposite side to the first link's charm. These charms add nice movement and interest to the earrings. Now you are set to secure the floating flowers to your leverbacks. See Tip: Wire Wrap a Charm |
