I love the size and muted earth tones available in the shell pearls. As soon as I saw them I envisioned a soft gold chain mixed with the shibuichi clasp. I added in some larger 14mm chocolate pearls and smaller 8mm berry and slate pearls to be able to create a subtle graduation of size and color. Everything about this design feels soft and silky to me.
The products used in this project are listed below.
String and crimp each strand individually. Fold your wire over and string on your ends. Push both wire ends through cone and wire wrap to create a large eye at the top to attach your chain/clasp to.
I doubled up the chain around the back of the necklace to balance the appearance of weight in the necklace.
I tangled the chain around the shorter strand of shell pearls before securing it at each end, this makes the tangling permanent.
