I love making coils and then messing up their perfect shape. I feel like it better represents what we see in nature. The colorful WoolyWire makes these really fun and flirty.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 2 caps or petals
  • 2 5" lengths of WoolyWire
  • 2 leverback earwires
  • bail making pliers
  • adhesive
  • round nose pliers

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

String 1.5" of the 5" of WoolyWire through the top of the lily.

Step 2

Create a wire wrapped loop at the top of the lily.

Step 3

Begin coiling the WoolyWire to form the tendril. Start at the end with the larger side of your bail making pliers creating 3-4 coils. Then going in the same direction switch to using the smaller side of the bail making pliers forming 3 coils and finishing off the coils using your round nose pliers. Make sure to coil right up into the lily.

Step 4

Use your pliers or finger nails to begin pulling the coils apart, making the coil a little less perfect.

Step 5

Once you are done manipulating your coils from both earrings, you should see similarities, but it is best if they aren't identical.
