Simple Infinity Bracelets
by Ali on 07/25/13
About this design:
Simple infinity bracelets can be seen on everyone from celebrities to everyday people to fashionistas. They are so hot that TierraCast made a beautiful infinity link that is great quality, affordable and fits perfectly on top of your wrist. I had to have a go at making my own infinity bracelets and chose to make one that would fit snuggly out of chain and another out of leather. Each is simple while being quietly embellished.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
Adjustable Leather Infinity Bracelet
- 2 x 16" lengths of 1.5mm leather cord
- 1 TierraCast infinity link
- 4 x 12" lengths of contrasting color in 4-ply Irish waxed linen
- 1 TierraCast distressed oval 8x6.5mm (or other large hole bead that 4 strands of 1.5mm leather cord will fit through)
- adhesive
Infinity Chain Bracelet
- 2 x 2.5"-3" lengths of chain
- 1 TierraCast infinity link
- 6 TierraCast distressed oval 8x6.5mm
- 1 lobster clasp
- chain nose and bent nose pliers
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: To make the adjustable leather infinity bracelet, take your 2 16" lengths of leather and double over. Make a lark's head knot at both ends of the infinity link. See Tip: Tying a Lark's Head Knot |
![]() |
Step 2: Secure the placement of the lark's head knots by wrapping 4-ply Irish waxed linen around the leather cords at the base of the knots. |

Step 3: Holding your cords from one end side by side, string through the distressed oval. Take the cords from the other side and string through from the opposite side. Make sure your cords aren't twisted. If you have trouble getting the second set through, cut the ends on a sharp angle and pull through using your pliers. |

Step 4: Before you knot off the ends, you need to size the bracelet to make sure that it will fit over your hand. My leather measured 4" on each side from the end of the infinity link to the knot. |

Step 5: Tie your tails on each side as a group and trim excess cord. Dab adhesive into the knots for added security. Pull opposing sides evenly to tighten. |

Step 6: To make the infinity chain bracelet, attach your 2 lengths of chain on either side of the infinity link. Open and close the chain link just like you would for a jump ring. See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |

Step 7: Make 2 chain inserts for the infinity link: distressed oval - chain link - distressed oval Make 2 chain inserts for the end: chain link - distressed oval - chain link See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |
![]() |
Step 8: Attach the chain inserts to the bracelet chain. See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |
![]() |
Step 9: Attach your lobster clasp to one end on the bracelet. The lobster clasp will hook onto the other end of the bracelet's end chain link. TIP: You want to be sure your bracelet fits a little smaller than you might usually make a beaded one so that the infinity stays on top. |

stylinga says:Love, love, love these bracelets. I like the leather one better. I think it is much more expensive looking and more swanky than the other one. The other one is pretty. I am a fan of leather. Thanks for sharing your idea!
