Bird in a Tree Woven Cotton Bracelet
by TierraCast on 02/19/15
About this design:
Design by Tracy Gonzales.
The TierraCast "you" line is the perfect pairing with these character-filled woven cords. This colorful woven cotton fabric is great for making a simple bracelet with a clasp, links using a couple end caps or cones, stackable bangles or easy wrap bracelets. You can further embellish the woven cord with large hole beads, fibers, wire, or leather.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- 6" length of 6mm woven cotton cord (this may vary depending not he size bracelet you are making)
- 1 - focal link
- 2 - 4-6mm jump rings
- 2 - 8-10mm jump rings
- 1 - 12x7mm lobster clasp
- 2 - 6mm cord ends
- adhesive
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Decide on the length of your bracelet. Attach the jump rings, clasp and focal link. Measure this length to see how long to make your woven cotton cord. Once you have this figured out, cut to length and glue the ends of the cotton cord into the cord ends. When the adhesive has dried, attach jump rings to the cord end loops and you're done! |

PamG says:I agree–these colors are gorgeous, and I love the design. I am wary of using glue, but that seems to be the only way to finish these bracelets. Does anyone else have a glue-less suggestion?
