Garden Layers Necklace

About this design:

I love the combination of colors in the Zola Elements line of embellished pieces. They are colors that work together easily but not always colors you might think of combining. This is the case with this necklace. I used a lapis bead chain and paired it with the Garden Fairy Crescent, a Peruvian Opal rondelle strand and patina feather. You can change up the combinations to suite your style best, selecting a different gemstone bead chain, focals, or 4mm faceted gemstone beads.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
Layout your necklace layers to determine the right length for each part. Cut your lengths of chain appropriately and string a 16"-18" necklace of 4mm faceted rondelles.
Step 2:
Attach jump rings to the drop, feather and tassel. String the gold figaro chain through each jump ring and set aside.
Step 3:
Connect the crescent pendant to the bead chain using a small jump ring.
  Step 4:
You can either connect all three layers to one clasp or you can make each layer its own necklace.

Oh, this is so pretty! What I’m thinking is it must be nice to own a bead shop & go pick some beautiful gems right off the shelf to work with!! Peruvian opals & amazonite are gorgeous.

I think the peeps are really involved in their egg hunting!

Thanks for your nice comments! I just love these colors together. I have a couple ideas on how you could easily alter the necklace using different materials.

*making your own bead chain with 6/0 seed beads or czech glass
*string 4mm rondelles in recycled glass, czech glass, or crystal rather than stringing Peruvian opals

I just now saw this. I have been splurging on the embellished links and focals on sale, several different color combinations. Love mixing them!
