Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
String all of 15+ tassels onto the leather cord, pulling them to the center.
Step 2:
String on your 20 bar connectors.
Step 3:
Flipping your bar conenctors back and forth creates an interesting pattern.
Step 4:
Pull the bars all the way down so you have a "U" of tassels at the bottom. Secure the bars in place by knotting at each side.
Step 5:
1" from that knot, make another overhand knot and string on 3 8-10mm African glass beads on each side.
  Step 6:
Finish the necklace by tying your ends together using an overhand knot. I tied mine 18" up from the bars.

Ali, this is fantastic! When I first looked at it, I thought it was a modern medicine bag. I really like this with the tassels. We could really customize it with the many colors of tassels available and the many large hole African recycled glass beads. I’m getting itchy fingers now.

Ladder necklaces are a favorite of mine, and I love the new-take on them with those connector bars and tassels. The added recycled glass also helps create an upward balance to the design.

I just have one question Ali. How much leather cord did you use on this necklace? I ordered 3 feet and am hoping it is enough.
