LillyPilly Designs created these colorful drop earrings using the new LillyPilly leather components. These earrings are light and easy to wear.
2 Mini Teardrops 4 Mini Teardrop Inserts, same color 2 Mini Teardrop Inserts, coordinating color 2 Mini Teardrop Inserts, second coordinating color 8 5mm jump rings 14 4 mm jump rings 2 Earwires Center Punch Hammer Hole Punch, 1.5 or 1.8mm Chain or Needle Nose Pliers
Mark hole positions on each mini teardrop insert as follows: one about 2mm from the top and three at the bottom, one centered and the others 5-6mm from the center and about 2mm from the edge. Use center punch and hammer to make an indentation over each mark. Punch holes.
Mark and punch holes in the top of the teardrops. Use a 5mm jump ring to attach the top insert to the mini teardrop; add a second 5mm jump ring. Use a 5mm, 4mm, and 5mm jump ring to attach the center insert to the mini teardrop. Use 3 4mm jump rings to attach the outside inserts. (Figure 2). Add ear wires to the 5mm jump ring at the top of the mini teardrop.
