Collar Necklaces
by Ali on 09/15/16
About this design:
Collar necklaces are a great choice when wanting to go simple or go big. They are easy to wear and easy to work with. I whipped up these 5 in under an hour. I went simple with the Tibetan Lapis Horn right up to full color using the African Recycled Glass Rings. The crystal fringe was easy but bold and the 2 geometric shapes are a natural fit with the "modern" vibe of a color necklace.

dolllady aka Pam says:Ali, these are so different but awesome in their own way. I love the beaded chain for being different, the African recycle rings for the bold colors, the Tibetan horn for simplicity, and the geometric silver and black rings with the blue African glass rings for the uniqueness. For the speed of putting the chain and the Tibetan horn/ beads onto the collar, I’d probably have different styles and colors on hand to change them for whatever mood I am in that day.

dolllady aka Pam says:As they say, everything comes back at sometime or other. The neck collar was popular in the 90′s. I still have a couple of mine. Lucky me?!

Alissa U says:Are these on a heavier gage memory wire or regular wire or different form that keeps it’s shape well ?

Alissa U says:Ah – as usual your designs grab my attention & seem entirely do-able. Did these go out of style & are back? Never noticed…
I’m an old hippy & intend to stay that way. All this Boho & vintage seems quite 60’s to me & pleasantly familiar.
