I used this Indonesian Fossil Jasper along with a gold arc focal and some crystal bead chain to create a simple layered necklace.

What you’ll need: (buy products below)

  • Gold Arc Focal
  • Indonesian Fossil Jasper 6mm
  • Crystal Bead Chain
  • Gold Spacers
  • C-Lon bead cord
  • Gold Crimp Tubes
  • Gold Chain

  • Gold Jump Rings
  • Gold 22 gauge wire
  • Epoxy (optional)

Additional Images:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
Wrap a piece of wire about 10 times around the top of the arc focal, form a loop at the end of the wire with round nose pliers, and gently push the end of the wire into the hole at the end of the focal. If you'd like, you can apply a bit of epoxy to the wire. Attach a jump ring & a 4" piece of bead chain (or whichever length you choose) to each end of the focal. finish with a lobster clasp & jump ring.
Step 2:
Slide 35 jasper beads onto the c-lon cord, with a gold spacer every 5 beads. Attach each end to a 5.5" piece of gold chain with a crimp bead. Finish with a lobster clasp & jump ring.

This is so beautiful! I’m going to try this with a few changes.

I’m a bit confused. Never did this before.
Could I thread the wire through the bead to string other beads? Like tigertail?
    Thank you.

tarzmig, I believe the focal bar has glue in tips, so I’m pretty sure that you can not string a wire through it. They do make focal ‘tubes’ that are hollow in which a wire can go through. Try Item #57900 and see if that might work. Hope this helps. Have fun beading! :)

Thank you! Does 57900 come in gold tone?

When I searched for these tubes, I didn’t see any. I don’t think #57900 came in gold, but I’m not completely sure. You can periodically check the different styles in stock–often sold out items will be restocked. I did find, however, a thinner tube in gold #61931, but it’s a bit different–not sure if it has the ‘bulk’ you’re looking for. Wishing success! :)

Forgot to mention, the hole is a bit larger, so keep that in mind.
