Dancing Skulls Necklace
by Ali on 09/19/19
About this design:
I wanted to make a subtle, sleek design using skulls -- I know, I know, skulls aren't really subtle or sleek. Then I came across our small flat skull charms and HAD to make a skull fringe necklace. You can use 30 to 40 charms and by keeping the necklace chain shorter, the fringe lays nicely. The idea of adding 40 jump rings may seem daunting, but don't worry, it goes by quickly :)
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
30-40 flat skull charms 30-40 3mm jump rings for charms 1 6mm jump ring for clasp 1 3mm jump ring for attaching lobster clasp 1 lobster clasp 16-18" chain
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Gather all supplies including 2 pairs of pliers. I recommend a pair of needle nose and a pair of bent nose. |

Step 2: Find the center-point of your chain, loop a 3mm jump through, attach the charm and close the jump ring. Measure down each side of the chain from the center and attach another charm using a 3mm jump ring. Make sure your chain is straight so that the chain links aren't twisted. This will ensure that when you add all of your charms to the chain you are placing the jump rings in the same position. See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |

Step 3: Divide your charms in half and fill in each side with charms, placing them every other chain link. If you have extra charms, add them to the end of your charm rows, repeating the every other chain link placement. See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |
Step 4: Add your clasp to the end of the chain using another 3mm jump ring. Attach the 6mm jump ring to the opposite end for hooking your clasp to. See Tip: Closing A Jump Ring |

dolllady aka Pam says:What a clever necklace for Halloween! From a distance you wouldn’t know what charms were being used. It doesn’t scream out Halloween.

Little Round Chick says:Not too obvious that they are skulls. They look shiny and rather delicate until you look up close then Surprise! Love it!
